ACTION PAGE:
We need to maintain our support of Ion Sancho !!
As a whistleblower myself, I can tell you that a huge surge of support in the beginning can quickly become “Yesterdays News”. While our actions have forced those Florida officials that have attacked this courageous Supervisor of Elections to take cover, they will be back. We need to continue to show that our support stays strong by giving this group notice that Mr. Sancho will not be forgotten. He has placed himself on the line for trying to protect the integrity of our vote. Please click on the link below to send an email to Florida officials and let them know of our ongoing support.

While I have been involved with informing the public of internal hacking problems. Mr. Sancho went even farther in allowing tests that proved election results could be altered externally and without detection using only a memory card. A team of California computer scientists have since confirmed the Leon County tests and discovered additional severe security flaws in the Diebold system. If you can not trust the system on either an internal or external security. The machines should not be used.

Instead of thanking Sancho for exposing flaws and hailing him as a national hero, state officials have condemned and threatened him. On top of that, the only three companies with Florida certified voting systems (Diebold, ES&S and Sequoia) have blacklisted Sancho and are refusing to sell their voting machines to Sancho, either in retribution for exposing serious security vulnerabilities in the Diebold voting system, or out of fear that he will find similar flaws in their systems. As a result of the Sancho now has no voting system in place. The state of Florida should remove certification from all vendors that operate in this fashion. They may even want to follow the lead of Maryland which has thrown out the touch screen machines and mandated the use of optical scanners, scientific audits of the paper ballots, and making the paper ballots the actual ballot of record. I personally support the legislation from North Carolina that makes the cost of a full recount the responsibility of the vendor should their machines fail to produce results that are validated through the initial audit.
