* Improve Education * Create Good Paying Jobs * Insure Health Care for All * Making Government Work for You. * Revise yellow light standards to provide for a minimum uniform time on camera stop lights. *Provide uniform standards that allow the surviving long term spouse of 100% disabled veterans to utilize the property tax exemption. * Eliminate the FCAT style tests and restore education to the educators. * Provide a work program for unemployed teenagers. * Provide a safety net for Veterans and other individuals while they are caught in the long waits for benefits. Funding will be recouped through the final release of backpay and will have strict guidelines. * Provide a mechanism where individuals may decide union organization through a card check program. This program will provide state protections against retaliation for the participants regarding union voting. This has become necessary due to the ineffectiveness of the NLRB, which has been rendered ineffective by Washington gridlock. * Provide for fair elections by providing additional verification processes as well as making the transparency much more accessible. * Provide for equal pay for women. * Increase areas of protection against discrimination to include Race, Gender, Religion, National origin, Sexual Orientation or age. This should include employment, pay and housing. * Rewrite the laws which allow HOA's ecessive control over homeowners and regulate predatory practices. * Provide legislation that strengthens and protects our environment. * Increase the length of existing turn lanes so that it can accommodate sufficient traffic during rush hours. Lanes that are too short result in backing up the left lane causing traffic jams and accidents. * Increase funding of Enterprise Florida but only after restructuring it to have full governmental control. This would include reducing the $315,000 salary of the present non-elected EFI’s president and CEO. As well as oversight on such extravagant expenses as $500.00 per night hotel rooms and office chairs for the same EFI’s president at a cost of $1650.00 per chair. Before funding continues we need to look closely for waste in the agency and reign it in. * Establish a program where stay at home parents could elect to be covered by Social Security Disability through an optional withholding on the employed parents income. * Provide for automatic restoration of voting rights after a person has paid their debt to society. |
