Testifying before Congress

If you know the name Clint Curtis, it’s probably because you’ve been paying attention to the fight for verifiable elections that has been going on since the 2000 election.

Clint, a Roseville resident, was born in rural Salem, Illinois in 1958. He was taught that you should do what’s right for your fellow man and being involved in the community helps you do that. He’s held the life-long belief that doing the right thing is more important than making a profit and that love of country comes before personal considerations.

Clint became a computer programmer in 1985 and has been responsible for successful deployments of database, prototype, and document management systems for many influential companies and organizations.

In September of 2000, Clint’s life took a turn that he never could have imagined. It was then that Clint, then a programmer at a local computer company in Orlando Florida, was introduced to the incoming Speaker of the Florida House. Clint's boss was an associate and confidant of the incoming speaker. Initially Clint was impressed and thought that this person shared not only his political identity but also his values. That would change as he discovered the real nature of the individual.

In a fairly early meeting a request was made for a prototype program that would demonstrate that elections could be invisibly rigged through electronic voting machines. Clint delivered the program to the owner along with the ways to make sure that electronic voting data could not be tampered with. He was appalled to find out that the prototype was not to be used to prevent election fraud but actually used to flip elections.

The atmosphere of corruption, political favoritism, and other corporate misconduct finally drove Clint from the company. He notified the proper authorities and began his quest to enlighten the public and bring some justice to the system.

Clint found himself working long hours trying to get the word out. He eventually testified before the Congressional Commission on Election Fraud (see the YouTube video) and before the Texas Legislature for the Ron Paul Election Coalition in Austin.

Clint’s testimony and courage in standing up to corruption has been featured in several documentaries including: Uncounted; Stealing America: Vote by Vote; Murder, Spies and Voting Lies: The Clint Curtis Story; and on the YouTube video Eternal Vigilance.

During his journey it became apparent that Clint could not address the problems this country faced while remaining a full-time programmer and so, at the age of 48, he changed direction again and began working on a law degree. He has attended programs at Barry University of Law in Orlando Florida, Cambridge University in Cambridge England, and McGeorge University of Law in Sacramento California.

In part because of Clint’s work, election groups across the country have been able to modify laws in 22 states and promote election integrity. Unfortunately, national legislation has not yet been achieved. The results in the recent South Carolina primary prove that vote flipping is still very real threat to our democracy. Votes MUST be verifiable and Clint will continue to work toward that goal.

As he has during the past several years, Clint will continue to work to end the practices that breed corruption and allow that massive waste of taxpayers’ dollars that plague present-day politics. He will work to make sure OUR government works for US.
